Hey, I’m Kylah. I’m the founder of So Black Candle Company, a proud mom of two, and the heart behind every scent you’ll find here.

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d start a candle business, but once I got into it, I knew it was my lane. Making candles became a way to pour into something that felt like me, rooted in love, culture, and intention. So Black Candle Co. is more than just candles. It’s where comfort, creativity, and community come together. It’s where culture meets lit scents.

Every candle is handmade with care, using a clean-burning soy blend wax that lasts long and fills your space with good vibes. We don’t cut corners and we don’t do basic. From high-quality wicks to rich fragrance blends, every detail matters.

What really makes us different? The names. If you know, you know. Each one is a nod to the music, the moments, and the memories that shaped us. These scents aren’t just about smelling good. They’re about feeling seen, celebrated, and connected.

My daughters are my biggest reason why. Everything I create is with them in mind. I want them to see what it means to build something with love, move with purpose, and show up as your full self.

I’m also grateful to now be building this dream alongside my partner, Lionel, who brings his own passion and energy to the process. From pouring candles to packing orders, he’s right there with me, helping keep the vibes strong and the vision growing.
